I’ve been in Brooklyn for almost a month now to be with my kids, their spouses, and my grandkids. I had to do some work, too, of course. Primarily, I came so I could be of help to my son-in-law and my daughter, while she recovers from surgery. Ariel and I went out yesterday to a doctor’s appointment and took some extra time to wander around Williamsburg, her old neighborhood. We ended up having lunch at, Diner, one of the more well-known restaurants in the neighborhood, but also happens to be in pretty much the same condition as it was when I ate there with my own father back in the 1940s!! That was some trip down memory lane! Our server thought it was so great to hear my story that they treated us to a slice of their amazing Muscadine Torte as a celebration of my return 70+/- years later!
