If you’ve seen our stories you’ll know that I had the opportunity to speak at a few design events this week about sustainability in design. I like to say that a home doesn’t need to “look” sustainable, (think cork and reclaimed wood) it can, and should, be beautiful and layered... thoughtful and intentional. We thought we’d break down a room in our #OxfordProject to show you some of our ideas. All of the furniture in this primary bedroom was built in America with responsibly sourced solid wood and non toxic finishes... linen bedding, a vintage wool rug, fair trade accessories, RDS pillow inserts, locally made curtains, American made curtain hardware and the wood window trim was made from reclaimed wood from the property.
