🌟“To shine your brightest light is to be who you truly are.”🌟 ― Roy T. Bennett Different stages in my life, growing up and even in my young adult life, I have been often told ... "Do not dress up too fancy" or "You need to dum down your look" and "Try to not stand out" along with "Don't over do it" To me, it was like tying a butterfly's wings behind its back and expecting it to still fly 🦋. As a people pleaser, I listened to these judgmental statements and tried to conform but I always felt bad because what i truly saw or wanted in my heart.... What if I wanted a tad more sequins, or an ounce more glitter..."Don't be so flashy", my negative voice would then echo in my head of phrases I heard throughout my life... But then one day I did not care and my sparkle, I thought I had lost started to shine because I believed in me....it was truly who I was and am. I did not need the approval of anyone, the haunted voices from my past faded and my light shined brighter.....So bright 🌟 Moral of my story, Bee yourself Hunny, shine your light and support the. light of others to shine (even if it differs from yours). 🌟
