motherhood 🕊️ my devotion the morning I went into labor: I will move along slowly “since you have never been this way before” joshua 3:4 we have “never been this way before” but Jesus has. it is all untraveled and unknown ground to us, but he knows it all. he knows the steep places that take our breath away, the rocky paths that make our feet ache, the hot and shadows stretches that bring us to exhaustion, and the rushing rivers that we have to cross - Jesus has gone through it all. he knows and he will never make you take even one step beyond what your feet are able to endure. He will either strengthen you and make you able, or he will call a sudden hauls and you will not have to take it at all. during delivery I whispered to Noah in between pushes when I was able to rest and catch my breath and said. I can’t stop thinking about the fact that Jesus died for her. on a cross he hung there by pierced hands and feet, bleeding and suffering. if he can do that for her, I can do this for her. birth was transformative for me. I experienced Jesus in a whole new way and a love deeper than I can ever imagine🤍
