My wife is a camera operator and a proud IATSE Local 600 union member. She loves her job, she’s proud of her work, and she works hard. I support @abbylinne and her colleagues and I’m proud of them for standing up for more humane working conditions, and for one another. Change is needed now, and for future generations of filmmakers, who Abby actively mentors and cheers on. IATSE members are sharing their experiences at @ia_stories . As someone who is #marriedtothecrew it’s been validating and encouraging to read these stories, despite how dark some of them are. Boundaries should be set that keep everyone healthy and happy, and allow for good (or even better) work.
