5 years ago I walked into an old empty crumbly building. For the previous year we had been working so hard to find/build a new house and no matter what we did, we could not make it work. The simplest things went wrong and it was impossible to not feel frustrated and discouraged. I woke up one night with the clearest thought in my mind, “Wait upon the lord and have patience in his goodness and timing” A month later I was there, standing in this old building. When I walked into the open Adobe room my heart fell on the floor. This was it, this is why nothing had worked out, it was straight out of my most wild dreams. This building that had already lived lifetimes was meant to be ours, it was our turn to leave our mark on it and love it. When I walk into it today, this room that connected with my soul so completely, it feels the exact same way. It was 100 years in the making and it is perfect 🤍 I have so many details to share, so many people to thank, but just for this post I want to share my belief that there are incredible things coming into your life. If you are in the frustrated part, in the waiting part, in the scary “holy crap what did we get ourselves into!?” part, in the “I am moving forward but I am exhausted part.” or in the celebration part.
