That’s about $400 billion into progressive energy and healthcare thanks to the forward thinking members of the senate and congress. It works toward providing a level playing field between private clean energy companies and their extractive counterparts. It invests in communities impacted by pollution. It brings jobs to the US. It caps prices on necessary medicine and preserves insurance for millions of individuals. There’s a caveat here and it requires you - please. Manchin requested that the bill include massive lease sales to extractive oil and gas companies as part of the package. Yep, this bill could do more harm than good in a climate sense! Unless - you, me and all our friends make sure that the next elected gov body (senate, congress, president) are made up of people who will disrupt these sales.
