i read once the real thing about creating is to have to capacity to be embarrassed . a lot of us hold back from living because we are scared to get hurt . i have lived through fear at times when i should have lived through love and my art . painting is my way of connecting with people . my art is about purpose not product . all i have ever known was how to be an artist so without that i start to slowly lose myself . i couldnt create for awhile because i couldnt sit still with my emotions . i didnt know how to properly heal without putting my pain into my paintings until i found new tools . isolation is important when looking inward but too much and you are back down that dark rabbit hole . i love and need my community . im thankful for life and humbled by time every time . new work only when it feels right . big thanks to @lizzcardwell for taking these photos in my studio lately .
