On this 8th anniversary of the Yazidi Genocide, I’m afraid for the future of my community in Iraq. I worry that on the 9th, 10th, and 20th anniversaries, we will still be struggling to rebuild our lives in Sinjar and create a safe and sustainable future. Yazidis are tirelessly working toward a better life, but they cannot do it alone.
