Honoured to have been nominated. Genuinely shocked that I won. 💋 Tanis is a role I have loved playing for 10 seasons now. I wish I could’ve been all glamorous and on stage for this acceptance speech, but I was with my sweet silly side kick at home awake after his bed time in one of my “good hoodies”. Wasn’t trying to make a statement when I was breastfeeding him while the nominees were announced, was just trying to keep him quiet! Had to interrupt him for my acceptance speech, he wasn’t happy about that, he didn’t give a damn that Ista won, he just wanted that sweet milk to keep flowing. 💋 I dedicate this award to my son who since he’s arrived earth side has cleared my mind and set me on the best path, I’ve never been stronger. I hope that when he is older the ‘fight for representation’ will be a thing of the past and he will see himself reflected back at him more often than not. 💋 It was an honour to be nominated beside such beautiful and hilarious women, I admire you all. 💋 I want to thank my mother, father, all my sisters, my nieces and nephews, my partner Watio, my cousins and friends, Alissa, Alison and everyone at ART.
