That was until last week, when they picked their daughter up from school and she said: "Mother's Day is for mumma so this year I just decided to make Father's Day for you. I'm not going to leave you out!" "I was genuinely surprised by it all," says Chris, "but I'm touched by the sentiment. I think as adults we can have these strict ideas of what a "father" is but children are like, 'that's just my other parent'." "I hear her wanting to celebrate me [today] as: "I love you, and I want to give you a gift and make you a card".
