I’m so sad to let everyone know that our good friend #evasvennson or #EvatheDiva to our little #nyc #burlesque scene has passed away in #glastonbury where she had been living. I know she was dealing with some health issues last time I saw her, but she was always so full of life. She created #StarshineBurlesque at #rififi in the #EastVillage that was eventually taken over by #creamystevens & @littlebrooklyn_718 It was a seminal time in the burlesque scene full of wonderful creativity and waffle burgers at Around the Clock then later Remedy Diner. I know so many fab performers passed through Rififi and knew Eva. Her memorial is tomorrow, the 18th in #Stockholm #sweden where her family lives. Please raise a glass tonight in honor of my friend Eva, and loudly sing a verse of “these boots are made for walking” in a super thick Swedish accent while you stomp stomp stomp on the floor really annoying your downstairs neighbors! That’s how I will always remember her. #ripvip
