The 9ft X 9ft Retro Boombox installation. One of the most technical projects I’ve done. Ever since I started collecting I always dreamed of stacking an entire wall full of these retro blasters. This section of the studio is paying homage to my big brother that passed away. David “Mex One” Alvarado. Mex inspired me on many levels and he got me into collecting boomboxes. Mex also created @thebboyspot which was a venue with the same classic checkered floor. The Bboy Spot was where Bboys and Bgirls had a place to dance for free. #mexoneforever
