Thank you @mercivoila for recognizing that I didn’t know what “dearth” means #SocialMediaIsALie From deleting and reposing with the word ‘dearth’ -> ‘plethora’ fixed, I notice the feeling of “oh no! I’m gonna lose all my likes and comments!” “People will think I’m unpopular!” It feels gross... and it’s there. I can observe the temptation to not correct it because of that, which is such a silly reason. Makes me think about the dynamics of making mistakes in public, and how it might feel easier to dig in our heels on these platforms than to acknowledge those mistakes.
