NEW WORK to share of good friend Katie Couric’s autobiography cover Going There which comes out October 26th. Katie and I first met 28 years ago...yikes...for a magazine shoot and have been working together regularly since. I’ve never been sure whether it’s more or less difficult to photograph someone you know quite well, on the one hand there’s a familiarity that cuts though the nervousness but it’s replaced with a responsibility to deliver not only what you’ve accomplished together before but something fresh and new. I feel confident that we accomplished just that with this photo. To me it represents the core essential Katie that I’ve come to know and grown to love; authentic, approachable, classy, and smart. For as well as I feel I know Katie at this point I’m still eager to get my hands on a copy of this, I’m sure it’ll be a phenomenal read.
