caramel apples deserve more hypeeee 👏 these are so easy to make & taste just like the real deal! 8 Apples 1/2 cup maple syrup 1/3 cup coconut sugar 2 tbsp ghee, vegan butter, coconit oil 1/4 cup water 8 firm medium apples 1 cup chocolate chips Chopped nuts, for rolling Add the maple, coconut sugar, butter, oil, and water to a saucepan. Over medium heat, bring the mixture to a boil, stirring frequently. Let it boil for a minute or so, stirring constantly, and then reduce to a simmer. Let it simmer, stirring frequently, for 15-20 minutes, until it reduces to a Carmel consistency. Let the mixture cool for a few minutes. While you’re waiting, have the apples ready to go with sticks inserted. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Melt the chocolate in a small bowl. Dip the apples in the caramel, then roll in the chopped nuts if using.
