The fastest way to burn out as a new yoga teacher? Overcomplicating everything. When you first graduate from YTT, there is so much pressure to be unique and memorable that many teachers start building complex vinyasa flows. The problem is that this approach often drifts away from the heart of asana, which is preparing the body and mind for stillness. A steadier approach will take you much further. Learn to cue postures in ways that are inclusive, sequence with accuracy and clarity, and explore within simple patterns so students can grow confidence and connection in their practice. As a new teacher, your real impact comes from creating space for people to discover yoga in their own bodies. Keep it simple and let the practice speak for itself.
