The Water Supply Program has a new name! In honor of Shirley Franklin, Atlanta's 58th Mayor and the first Black woman to lead a major city in the South, we renamed the Water Supply Program at the former Bellwood Quarry. In 2002, she created @atlwatershed to manage Atlanta's drinking water, stormwater and wastewater systems. Twenty years later, Atlanta’s water supply program is thriving because of her!
