Grateful for the 5 years of my life that were spent here in this city. So many beautiful memories were made in my early twenties. Unfortunately grief doesn’t disappear and revisiting LOng Beach as a wheelchair user wasn’t super easy. This pathway behind me was the path I ran on as an able body. It was my escape. Where I came to day dream, detox, let go of worries and anger. I miss that feeling. Life is different now, but I am grateful for the opportunities that have come my way. I keep encountering this new dance of grief and happiness. Grateful and sad. It’s okay to feel both and I need to remember that.
