The investigation launched in April before the overturning of Roe v. Wade. However, in Nebraska there was already a 20 week abortion ban, making it illegal. The mother ordered abortion pills and gave them to her daughter. And in what I assume was an attempt to make it all go away, they did burn and then bury the 23 week fetus. Despite your feelings on how they went about it, I imagine it was life or death for her anyways. Either she has a baby at 17, or she seeks medical care somewhere and still chances being charged. I can’t imagine being in their position. I still stand by my original caption. Especially because now with the overturning of Roe v.
