PLEASE READ... This Friday I drop one of the most emotional songs I’ve ever made. I don’t cry often but writing this had me in tears. Coming from a broken home is something a lot of us go through & it can be extremely tough. When my dad left the house & started a new family I felt betrayed, thrown to the side, like I was less valuable & incapable of being loved. Mentally I was alone, left to take over his role as man of the house protecting my mother & helping raise my brother while he planted new seeds, did things he never did with us & seemingly put us in the rear view. Now that I’m grown I realize there’s way more to the situation & I understand many of the decisions that were made. While we will never get that time back & those feelings will never completely dissipate I have forgiven him 100% & we have an extremely strong relationship with so many similarities it’s almost unbelievable. He’s always remaining positive, he lives a life filled with passion & joy & he helps others any chance he gets which are all qualities I appreciate & have always lived by. If you have unresolved feelings with someone inside or outside of your family I encourage you to forgive & move on.
