Do you have a rip in your protest pants bc they got caught in your bike chain (yes) or a tank top strap holding on by a thread (also yes)
I’m hosting a community mending circle & picnic for @atxclimateweek with @wear_trash — and you’re invited! 💚
Whether you’re patching up your favorite jeans or learning how to thread a needle for the first time, this space is for everyone. We’ll be sitting on blankets under the trees, learning from awesome menders like Heather from Wear Trash, and taking climate action in one of the most joyful, hands-on ways: repairing what we already have.
📍Mary Elizabeth Branch Park (Mueller)
🗓 Saturday, April 26th
⏰ 2–4 PM
Bring something to mend (or just yourself!), a blanket or towel, and snacks if you’d like. We’ll have some supplies + local treats too 👀🍓
This event is part of Mend in Public Day, a global push to make repair more visible and resist throwaway culture. AND part of Austin’s very first Climate Week. It’s free, it’s open to all, and I truly can’t wait to hang with you 🌱
RSVP at the link in bio or shelbizleee.com/mend 💛
