S T E V E S C H A P I R O HOLLYWOOD @helmutnewtonfoundation June 3 - November 20, 2022 This group exhibition is our summer highlight and it explores the fascination of Hollywood. Hollywood still drives many people to Los Angeles in search of jobs in the film industry and looks at the phenomenon of the dream factory. With selected works, the exhibition looks back 100 years to the beginnings of Hollywood photography, with references to icons of film history, but also draws the span to the present day. We are particularly pleased to be able to assist in making the photographs of our dear friend and world-famous photographer Steve Schapiro being part of this great exhibition. Steve portrayed the actors up close and behind the scenes on the film set of Chinatown, giving us an insight into the work of director Roman Polanski. Chinatown is frequently listed as one of the greatest movies of all time.
