To see young designers from all over the Middle East and North Africa come together to showcase their talents is an emotional and beautiful vision. It shows that even through struggle; passion:love and beauty will always shine through. There is so much talent from the people of MENA, the only problem is, not enough opportunity. The work that Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al-Thani and Tania Fares do to raise awareness about the art communities in the Middle East and North Africa is something that has never been nurtured, but extremely deserving of. With an initial mission to provide financial support, guidance and mentorship to emerging designers in the MENA region, FTA has become so much more: a platform of opportunity through which every talented Arab or African designer can grow and receive international recognition.
