Meet Jonathan Burgueño, one of our Lead Line Cooks at our Anaheim brewpub. Today we’re appreciating all of his hard work and dedication over the past 6 years at KARL (that’s about as long as Karl Strauss Anaheim has been open! 🤯) So let’s gather ‘round and crack open a tall, cold can of Boat Shoes Hazy IPA... It’s story time! Tell us a bit about your career path with us, Jonathan! 👏 A friend of mine knew I was looking for a new job and told me of a new brewpub coming to Anaheim. I initially started out as a Line Cook on the fryer, and eventually moved my way up the line with a promotion to Lead Line Cook! The main thing that has made me want to stay at KARL are the friends I have made throughout my years here. They are the reason why I’m still here. The jokes my coworkers and I make and the fun we have at KARL make work so much easier! Who’s the “you” outside of work? 🎱 Some activities I like to do outside of work are playing billiards, hitting up concerts, and going to the gun range. What’s your favorite KARL beer? 🍺 My favorite beer from our lineup is Boat Shoes. It’s hoppy, it’s hazy, it’s dank... what more could you want? 💯 What excites you about the road ahead? 🤔 What I look forward to in my future is honing my skills and learning new cuisines and styles of food! Which reminds me, I would like to give a few shoutouts: I would like to thank Kevin Jones for showing me new culinary techniques and management skills. And I want to give a big shout out to Bradley Olivolo, you go above and beyond at work, and are always in a positive mood. You are a heartwarming person! I am grateful to have met you both.
