Up close and personal with Tahoma ✨🏔 That forecast looked promising and the mountain was out that afternoon. So I packed my bag, gathered my camera gear and drove about 2 hrs to watch the sunset at the park. The air was fresh, the afternoon light was glowing and wispy clouds came and left, dancing over this beauty. As I started my little stroll, the golden hour light started to intensify so I pulled my camera out to start taking shots of scenery. Shock horror (a bit of an exaggeration lol): NO memory card 😫. As I had rushed to leave home, I had forgotten to check if it was in the camera and had no backup card. I can’t lie, I was bummed for a few minutes. But then, I realized that 1) I was in this beautiful area, and taking it all in with my own eyes and senses was the best way to capture the moment. 2) I still had my phone and could use it to snap a few photos, if I wanted to. And in the words of Chase Jarvis, “the best camera is the one that you have with you”.
