Annalisa, the granddaughter of Giuseppe Fogliati (the man who took the reins of this beautiful property in Bussia back in the 50s) has resurrected the family label and devoted her energy to bringing back their venerable 100 year old vines with organic viticulture and Annalisa’s sure but delicate hand in the cellar. Bussia, one of the most important zones of Barolo, is sublime for growing Nebbiolo. The aspect of the Fogliati property is south-west and the soils are deep in the Piemontese marl. Annalisa’s Barolo is always lovely, and the Lange Nebbiolo is a delicious offering. Soft with tannin, cherry and china bark, black tea.
