This one’s for the artists. I think if I were to have started now, in this ecosystem, I would have been speaking to an empty room, and that makes me really sad. I also feel like I’m supposed to have the answers to this stuff, how to use social media in a way that feels good for the soul, and I simply do not. The scale does seem to have tipped to the point that my disgust of the medium is being outweighed by desire to do and share the things that matter to me, and I want to get better at figuring out a way to do that, that doesn’t feel soul-crushing.
