Was very happy to be asked by Royal Academy of Art in The Hague to give their opening lecture last Monday and to stay around for some guest teaching. Really enjoyed all the conversations with students and staff! ⁣ ⁣ The title of the lecture, Picturing the Invisible, is something people often pick up on in my work and felt like a good way into some of the things I love about photography—its relationship to paradox, and the way it can be used to bring things into relation we normally think of as separate, to open us up to a more entangled, more ecological, way of being in the world.⁣ ⁣ (And I also found out The Hague has a really nice beach!)⁣ ⁣ Thanks @lottesprengers and @johnfleetwood for the invitation and making it a really enjoyable week. @kabkphotography @royalacademyofart.thehague #picturing the #invisible
