This Halloween meet the African deity Osumare! In Yoruba they are the spirit of the rainbow, direct movement, and the guardian of children. Osumare is a deity that changes sexes and this deity connects the living world to the world of the ancestors. It was fun learning about this mythological deity of the African diaspora and creating my interpretation of Osumare with this costume.
