Isabel you little goofus! A year ago today you came into this world looking just like your father (dammit) and nothing has been the same. It’s hard not to talk in cliches when describing your child’s first year, because it really is like everyone says. Thrilling, exhausting, joyful, surprising, and everything is new. You are so happy (I assumed you’d come out sarcastic and self-deprecating? No?) and inquisitive and wonderful. We honestly couldn’t love you more.
