The future is uncertain for residents of Harmony Place mobile home park in Alexandria. Many have expressed a fear of displacement. The park is roughly 70 years old, and was family-owned for decades before a real estate investment company purchased it last year. The community worked with the county government and a nonprofit to make a higher counteroffer. But it was not accepted. Most residents own their home, but each household rents the land beneath its. Harmony Place is one of six mobile home communities along Richmond Highway.
