Trust me when I say, once you stop doing these you’ll be able to stay grounded without falling too soon
1. I stopped FaceTiming when I was in bed
When you’re in bed, naturally, your guard is down. You’re the most vulnerable because that’s where you sleep, your mind is used to this being a place of peace. You’re more likely to develop emotional connections easier when you’re FaceTiming in bed.
2. I stopped creating my dream life with the person I was dating.
A lot of us are architects of illusion. We take small bits a pieces of a person we like and create a future we want. We end up trying to stay with this person, losing our boundaries and ignoring red flags just so this dream we created will come true.
3. I stopped prioritizing being accessible.
I thought access was always key. It’s not. We will avoid putting anything on the calendar just in case, that maybe he’ll call you and don’t want to be busy.
