👀 I TRIED “AESTHETIC ACUPUNCTURE” - here’s my full, unsponsored experience 🪄✨ ⁣ ⁣ As a soon-to-be-bride and can’t-help-myself-Leo, I loved this. It’s essentially an alternative to Botox, but instead it works by strengthening some of the weakened muscles, while relaxing overactive ones. You know if there’s a holistic option I’m GONNA try it and report back. So I hopped on a train and met with @dr.travall, who came highly recommended by @wellthybelly!⁣ ⁣ It’s always nice when you meet a practitioner that’s not just passionate and meticulous, but an all around awesome human that you jive with. 😄⁣ ⁣ He started off by misting on a rose serum (that he extracts himself!!) followed by pressurized oxygen to plump the skin. Then a little Gua Sha to release anything pressing.⁣ ⁣ He’s putting needles not just in my face but my neck and traps too, because he said often when people express their face is dropping or pulling downwards, it’s not just gravity - it’s from tight neck muscles!⁣ ⁣ You let the needles work their magic while getting LED therapy which uses uses specific wavelengths to destroy bacteria, improve acne, reduce fine lines.⁣ ⁣ Now for the fun part where he trains some of those weaker muscles to help lift and sculpt the face. He said it’s kind of like training your muscles in the gym, and the results build over time.⁣ ⁣ Now he’s applying a face and neck mask soaked in his handmade rose serum & running micro-current through them (this allows the serum to penetrate a lot deeper as the current also tightens and tones).⁣ ⁣ Finishing off with a little high frequency to stimulate lymphatic flow as well as collagen and elastin production, and cupping for more lymphatic love which feels so good.⁣ ⁣ I was shocked at how multi-layered and comprehensive his treatment approach is, and the results really speak for themselves.⁣ ⁣ Now, remember, there are so many things you can do at home:⁣ ❤️a Gua Sha practice⁣ ❤️at home LED devices⁣ ❤️and simple lymphatic massages with your hands 🙌 ⁣ ⁣ This is definitely an up front investment and luxury, but when you compare it to other options like Botox I felt it was well worth it and plan to continue this journey!
