I’m not sure where to begin so I’ll just let it fly. Being raised by a strong single mom, I always wanted to tell the story between a Mother and a Son. The seeds of this film were planted back in 2017, yet I had no experience in writing a script nor was I even a filmmaker. But someone once told me that life teaches you more about art than any class can. So I dove in head first knowing that there was no backup plan. No safety net. Nobody to bail me out. After years of teaching myself about film, growing our community and most importantly learning what was unique about me as an artist, I knew that it was time to make this film with our team. 
Every aspect of the film has had quite the journey. Even the poster you see now. Back in 2019, I came across @malik.roberts.art otherworldly paintings and secretly wished that one of his pieces could be the face of my film one day. Well today is that day. Thank you brother. And to our team: you all know the infinite gratitude that I sincerely have for you. Without you, this film would not exist. But because of you, it does. Somebody early on asked me why it was a Mother and a Son. Well, there are many reasons, but one is that my earliest moment on this earth, was in her arms. Now as the grown man that she raised, I get to hold her in mine. And that’s the type of love that forever transcends time and space. It is with great excitement and gratitude to finally share our film with you.
