💅⚡️✨ @tatemcrae “she’s all i wanna be”⚡️💄💫 When we first heard about this project and started doing research on Tate, we were enamored by her ability not just to dance technically but to tell a story with her body. Watch Tate’s old dance videos and you’ll see the look in her eyes is so convincing in certain moments you feel she’s lived way longer than she has. @michelleldawley has been there all the way with Tate, and being able to co-direct with Michelle with this intention of telling story via choreography, rather than just in the acting beats between the choreography, was extremely exciting to us. The first chorus in particular is one where Michelle & Deirdre’s choreo blows us away - Tate falling to the ground while the others flock around Bailey in this subtle push and pull just feels like walking down the hallways in high school. A YouTube commenter put it nicely: “the video doesn’t necessarily portray a relationship, but rather the inner feelings about insecurities within yourself.” Hope yall like the video as much as we liked making it. . .
