Storm, sunset, sleep, sunrise... wave after wave, each moment a new learning. Some moments chaotic fast movement, some moments long stretches of deep quiet calm. Going offshore with a small crew and shifting life to four-hour watch shifts has some fascinating neurological impacts. Time becomes elastic. Weather events and sail plan changes mark the passing of time (rather than days and nights which I’m more accustomed to). Over 60 hours I saw the scene shift through every color palette, saturated to grey neutral. Dreams become vivid, almost lucid.
