End of an era 🙏🏻 I have been shooting my at home series for around 6 years now. It has taught me so much about my self, personally and technically. I know how to manage any lighting scenario, turning up to peoples houses where there is no natural light and until recently I had no knowledge of how to light artificially. This series has helped me with social anxiety- being able to turn up to someone’s home who I have never met before and directed them, moved their furniture, rummaged through their wardrobes and met their families. The at home series has shaped my career and enabled me to find my place in photography, I have learnt that what I love is getting down to the route of who someone is. There is nothing I love more than dressing the people I’m photographing in pieces of clothing handed down to them through generations or made for them by their friends. For now, I won’t be shooting exactly in this way as I am looking now to go deeper. I no longer feel that I want to go into this with an editorial eye but with more of a eye for connection, love, individuality and substance. I am feeling that it is impossible to capture a whole person in an hour and a half. So stay tuned for longer projects. Thank you to every single person who has let me into their homes, let me pull apart their bedrooms and given me a piece of themselves, you really have changed my life and I am forever grateful. Thank you to the very select few people who have now agreed to take part in at home part two, I can’t wait to show everyone what we’re making 🖤🙏🏻
