I grew up in the punk rock/hardcore scene. At the same time the hip hop scene was exploding through to my ears. Same scene, different street corner. Throughout my life I’ve always been influenced by proper hip hop!! Mostly East coast, being from Buffalo and nothing out there like it before at the time. Each of them within their own right are Iconic!!! There are sooo many others in between, way too many to mention!! The bottom line is there was a message. Much different from today’s “rappers”
