Friday, Nov. 21 is the 112th Annual City of Chicago Christmas Tree Lighting in Millennium Park! . Here are five things to know if you plan on going: . 1️⃣ The Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place near the intersection of Michigan Ave. and Washington St. . 2️⃣ There will be an entire event around the tree lighting that includes a ceremony and performances! . 3️⃣ The Tree Lighting Ceremony begins at 6pm with the actual lighting happening at approximately 6:25pm. It will immediately be followed by a fireworks show! . 4️⃣ This year’s Christmas tree is a 68-foot Norway Spruce donated by a family from Glenview! For those who keep track, the tree is 15 feet taller than last year’s. . 5️⃣ The tree will shine brightly from November 21 through January 11, and admission is free! .
