At 9 years old and just 13 pounds, Finnick had been dropped off at a local animal control facility. He had a choke collar around his neck so tight, it was embedded in his skin. *Warning: the fifth image in this gallery may be graphic to some viewers, please use discretion* This can cause infection, and obviously was very painful for Finnick, but also could have been life threatening if it cut into his jugular vein or trachea. Our wonderful team of veterinarians and technicians worked quickly and carefully to remove the collar from his neck, which had to be cut off with bolt cutters. He’s now finishing up recovery in foster care, and he even had his big break into fame last week—check out that TV debut AND that new hairdo!
