Chateau Magic— my weekend escape. Thirty minutes north of Paris and a world away from city life, I found a new passion project that has refueled my energy and created the perfect weekend getaway: a light-filled apartment housed in a stately, eighteenth century chateau. The 16-foot ceilings, Versailles parquet floors, wood-burning carved stone fireplace and floor-to-ceiling casement windows had me at hello. The chateau sits on lush grounds — complete with ancient trees and a picturesque creek — providing lots of room for leisurely strolls and casual picnics with friends. I’m happy to be part of a new community, creating friendships with local artisans, merchants and antique owners that I’m excited for you to get to know better. My country retreat has allowed me to recharge, and, in a way, reboot during the past few months. I’ve been entertaining more, making time to cook French classics, a glass of Côte du Rhône in hand, getting inspired at museums and discovering new secret shopping destinations all across France.
