Been in the trenches for a minute juggling back-to-back speaking engagements and this is hands-down one of my favorite conversations to date for so many reasons. What an honor to kick off the inaugural @meta Changemaker Summit with my angel friends @evachen212 @therealphilliplim. Not only was I in such incredible company of individuals I have the utmost appreciation and respect for, I also had the space to speak on topics especially near and dear to me with an audience of like-minded individuals who are just as passionate about engaging strategies around using technologies to make an impact on communities. And the cherry on top? @Meta passed it forward and donated to my charities of choice – @theconsciouskid @weneeddiversebooks – two organizations I learned about through my work with @88cupsoftea– they’re making instrumental changes in addressing racism and impacting change for our future leaders via children’s literature. After receiving tens of thousands of handwritten notes from AROUND THE WORLD since April 1, 2020 (enough notes from volunteers to carry us all the way through to 2022), we are activating our second global push to enable Heart of Dinner to continue delivering care packages through the remainder of the year and gear up for a strong start to 2023. That saying “it takes a village” could not be more true, @heartofdinner would not be able to make the impact it does without each and every champion who has supported our cause in their own way.
