When I was helping @richardattpt with his college prescreen recordings, I decided to get a quick recording of the Mahler 5 excerpt because it’s something I’m getting ready for summer festival auditions. It being my first take, I wasn’t too disappointed with the recording! My biggest flaws are dynamic contrast and articulation clarity. I need to be more clear and precise with the triple figures and emphasize the accents more. When playing, I feel like my dynamic contrast is good- but on the recording it doesn’t show as well. I need to do better at exaggerating it so it is apparent. There’s also some intonation issues that can use some work.
