That's what sound waves do when they compress and stretch the ether and alter your perception. That's what the social sculpture that we call the dance floor is all about. Andrei Tarkovsky coined the term. It was the title of a book published shortly before his death in 1986 that represents his legacy as a filmmaker and his vision of the world as a whole. For Tarkovsky, time was the primary matter of art and of any experience.
