The first ever issue of VOGUE PHILIPPINES I cannot begin to describe what this cover means to me and everyone involved with this story. This is the product of love. I have been fortunate enough to work in this industry for a decade. In that time I have never experienced a group of people who are more dedicated, hard working, and joyous as the crew involved with this story. I gave my everything to this shoot and I know the same is true for everyone who worked on this monumental project We packed our gear onto planes, bangkas, and tricycles and started off on our week long adventure. We trekked through cliffside forests, raced against the tides, swam to locations, and climbed across daunting rock formations. We laughed, we cried, we bled, we (I) ate more sinigang than I knew was possible. The local communities were with us offering support, knowledge, and encouragement every step of the way. Our motivation and inspiration came from shooting this project along side the very people we were doing it for. These photos are a dedication to the beauty and spirit every Filipino person holds in their heart. It has been the greatest honor of my life and career to represent the Philippines in the fashion industry and in this world.
