I will never understand why God continues to bless me with far more than I deserve, but for some reason, he has made one of my biggest dreams come true. A relentless, roadless, unforgiving chase through some of the most beautiful country on earth, ended with a 320 yard shot at one of the most sought after mountain animals on the planet. This is a day that will play on repeat in my head for as long as I live. I acknowledge the fact that there is pleasant misery to backcountry hunting. From a 15 grueling mile hike, scaling shale covered cliffs, bone chilling river crossings, a fogged-in tent day and evading grizzly bear scattered valley’s, we were immersed in the pursuit of this 12 year old ram in one of the most picturesque places on earth. Not only did I get to harvest a dream animal, but I got to do it with my dad, the one who inspired me to be the person and hunter that I am today. There aren’t words to describe how special this adventure, journey, and hunt is to me. To those special people who made this possible, I will be forever indebted to you for this memory. @shaycowankansas for instilling this passion in me, @cole.p.hines for guiding one of the most incredible hunts that anyone could have asked for, the entire @ravensthroatoutfitters staff for the hospitality, positivity, and laughs we had throughout the trip, and most importantly the man upstairs for making it come all together.
