Amna Al Qubaisi is the definition of small but mighty. The 22-year-old motorsport champ and Harper’s Bazaar Arabia November 2022 cover star has plenty of accolades under her belt – she’s the first Emirati female race-car driver and the first Arab female driver to compete (and win) internationally, just to name a few – because what she lacks in stature she more than makes up for in attitude and skill. Speaking to Editor in Chief Olivia Phillips, Amna shares how she believes racing has always been in her blood, her need for speed having been passed down from her father. “Ever since I was three years old, I would go to the desert with my dad [driver, Khaled Al Qubaisi], and would always ask to take a ride on the buggies,” she says. “He would always tell me to stay in a specific area, but I didn’t listen.
