While most people associate the beaver state with gloomy weather, temperate rainforests and waterfalls, not many people think of the countless other diverse landscapes that can be found in this state. From rocky coastlines to salt flats to places like this striking geological wonder which formed roughly 35-40 million years ago from layers of volcanic ash, rock and other minerals.
