IN THE BEGINNING: A cascading series of events, mistakes, external factors and mysterious forces brought Lee and Erin together at just the right time. Lee was a “Small Town Celebrity” in Petoskey Michigan making his living as a musician and juggling at least 5 bands. He was living large, swinging single, living in a party house, and hosting his very own small music festival ~ BiG WOod! Erin was hot off of a heartbreak, shame, failure spiral that led her to take what she thought was just “the summer in Michigan” [to be close to her family and lick her wounds, get back on her feet] and then “move to Austin” 😂 Little did they know - and thanks to Erin’s brother Dan Campbell [forever owe him our gratitude for this]... a date was set up. Dan had invited Erin to quit wallowing in mom’s basement in Posen Michigan and to come over to Petoskey for the open mic that he and Lee were hosting at City Park Grill. - “I don’t get out of work until 8pm, so why don’t you come early and hang out with Lee “...... (Full discloser Erin tried to cancel on Lee that day- she called him and told him that she “wasn’t much fun to be around right now “. Lee assured her that it was cool, she could be sad and still hang out but no pressure.) I’m not Gonna Get Into All The Details BUT... Fast forward a couple weeks- Lee takes Erin to Bliss Fest as his plus one. [Bliss Fest is a huge folk and roots festival in northern Michigan - and three of Lee’s bands were playing that weekend]. This picture was taken on Saturday night, before the Sherpa’s set -hours before Lee begged Erin in a tent to be his girlfriend. Lee: “be my girlfriend” Erin: “It’s too soon” Lee: “be my girlfriend “ Erin: “Let’s talk about it tomorrow when we’re sober” Lee: “It will be exactly the same is it is right now, I just won’t date anybody else!” Erin: “Okay, deal.” **AND little did we know we were on our way to creating a life together- and with that eventually the band Aunt Vicki! If you just now realized this is a really long story... I’m sorry.. it’s gonna be a long story.
